Carmel Highlands is the gateway to the Big Sur coast and sits just a few minutes south of Carmel on Highway 1. The Highlands is one of my favorite spots in the entire area because you get a little bit of everything. Big Sur feel of the coastline, minutes to downtown Carmel and the mouth of the valley. Another great feature of the Highlands are the views, amazing views all over the place. So if a view property with a hint of privacy is your cup of tea, I think you may need to look closely at Carmel Highlands.
